The Chianti Classico Marathon has been awarded the Mukki Sport 2026 Award, an important recognition celebrating the sporting, social, and territorial value of the event.
This achievement is a source of great pride for the entire organizing committee and for all the people who contribute each year to the growth of the event, now considered one of the most anticipated trail running events in Tuscany.
The award recognizes not only the sporting aspect of the Chianti Classico Marathon, but also the event’s ability to promote the Chianti territory through routes immersed in nature, initiatives dedicated to inclusion, attention to sustainability, and convivial moments connected to local excellence.
From the competitive races — the 47 km UltraTrail and the 22 km Trail — to the 10 km Leisure Walk, as well as “A Ruota Libera” dedicated to wheelchair athletes and the many side events during the weekend, the Chianti Classico Marathon confirms itself as an event capable of combining sport, community, and territorial promotion.
The Mukki Sport 2026 Award therefore represents recognition of the work carried out over the years and an encouragement to continue growing while keeping at the center the values that define the event: hospitality, passion, territory, and sharing.
A shared success with athletes, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and the entire local community that welcomes the Chianti Classico Marathon each year in the heart of Chianti.
