At the Chianti Classico Marathon 2026, refreshment stations are much more than a simple break: they are a true journey through the flavors of the territory, spread along all race routes.

From the competitive distances to the 10 km non-competitive route, every participant will benefit from well-equipped refreshment points, designed to provide energy, hydration, and an authentic experience in the heart of Chianti.

UltraTrail 47 km Refreshments: 7 Stations Along the Course

The 47 km UltraTrail features 7 refreshment stations along the route:

  • Km 7.5 – Torriano
  • Km 15.0 – Villa Fabbrica
  • Km 19.0 – Santa Maria a Macerata
  • Km 24.5 – Poggio al Vento
  • Km 32.5 – Montefioralle
  • Km 38.0 – Castello di Verrazzano
  • Km 43.0 – Castel Vari

In case of high temperatures, additional liquid stations will be available at km 30 and km 46.

At the finish line, in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Mercatale Val di Pesa, a final refreshment point will be available, followed by a full lunch included for athletes.

Trail 22 km Refreshments: 3 Stations

The 22 km Trail includes 3 refreshment stations along the route:

  • Km 5.8 – Santa Maria a Macerata
  • Km 11.5 – Castello di Verrazzano
  • Km 16.5 – Castel Vari

In case of high temperatures, an additional liquid station will be provided.

At the finish line, a final refreshment point and a full lunch included for athletes will be available.

10 km Leisure Walk & Nordic Walking: Maxi Food & Wine Stop

For the 10 km non-competitive route (Leisure Walk & Nordic Walking), participants will enjoy a maxi food and wine stop at km 5, one of the most distinctive features of the event.
