This time the organizers of the Chianti Classico Marathon have again focused on local products together with the confectionery company Ghiott and one of its flagship products such as Cantucci with almonds, biscuits known among other things as a typical product of the Tuscan area.

The runners who participate in the two competitive ultratrails of 45.6 k and tral of 21 km that have reached the finish line, according to the regulations, will in fact receive an envelope with the final refreshment inside: sandwich, fruit, water and the packaging of Cantucci Toscani IGP Ghiott of 100 grams.

Cantuccini IGP Ghiott are produced with fresh milk, fresh eggs, butter, honey, flour, sugar and obviously natural unpeeled almonds; without adding any additives, dyes or preservatives.

The Ghiott confectionery company was founded in Florence in 1953 as an artisan workshop by a well-known family of Florentine pastry chefs and today is in its third generation, which sees the founder’s daughters, Enzo Salaorni, and his grandchildren at the head of the confectionery company.
